Royal Academy of Culinary Arts Adopt a School Trust wins bid for funding through the Erasmus+ Programme!
Royal Academy of Culinary Arts Adopt a School Trust is pleased to announce the successful bid for funding through the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme. Over the next two years, the project EX.C.E.L.LEN.C.E. – Expertise in Culinary sector uplifted through placements across Europe - n° 2020-1-UK01-KA102-078179, will involve 150 vocational learners from 5 different UK colleges and will be funded to live abroad while conducting 3 weeks work experience abroad in Spain, France, and Italy to enhance their culinary training and expertise.
The Royal Academy is proud to have been asked to lead this Erasmus initiative which offers catering students an unbelievable opportunity to enhance their learning and gain work experience in hospitality establishments.
The following colleges will receive 30 places each over the next two years:
- Hugh Baird College
- Wirral Metropolitan College
- St Helens College
- College Cambria
- Middlesbrough College
This overseas work experience programme gives you the chance to develop, to learn new skills, to travel and to see different cultures of hospitality, all of which can strengthen your CV when applying for jobs when you complete your studies. As part of the funding for the project, all costs will be covered. All students will receive flights, accommodation, and subsistence to ensure that this mobility is accessible and inclusive for all students.
