Adopt a School Training Sessions

Publish Date: January 10, 2020 Posted By: Alys Bannister

Please join us on Tuesday 4th February or Tuesday 12th May to learn more about the Adopt a School programme and get the training, tools and resources to deliver food education in schools in the new academic year.

During the interactive training session, led by Adopt a School’s Idris Caldora MCA and Programme Director, Helena Houghton, you will be joined by members of The Royal Academy of Culinary Arts, and the hospitality industry, to learn how to deliver food education sessions to primary children. During the training, you will experience a taste and sensory and knife skills session plus introductions to our bread making and front of house lessons.

Each year, industry professionals give over 17,000 children the opportunity to develop the knowledge, understanding and skills to improve their own health and wellbeing. They are also supporting teachers to adopt a whole-school approach to healthy eating. But there are always more children who could benefit from Adopt a School sessions and by attending training, we hope you will go on to adopt a school.

This year is Adopt a School’s 30th Anniversary and, with your support, we will be able to enrich the lives of many more young people across the UK in 2020.
